Kings Island

While many of the Cedar Fair websites are now utilizing a somewhat similar design template, make no mistake — every park has their own unique needs and challenges, and as such there is no "one size fits all" approach. Case in point, Kings Island near Cincinnati, Ohio; their events schedule and season passholder base are two of the many things that required customizing the navigation scheme and output modules to fit their needs. Of particular note was the sheer volume of control allowed by our C4 Content Management System (CMS). Park administrators are able to add to and edit nearly every facet of the site including home and interior header images. 

• Was the first park anywhere to incorporate Facebook social widgets to let users 'Like' rides, attractions, and even blog entries to share on the social graph
• Used a custom module to highlight hotels and resorts in the area, with the functionality to spotlight select locations while randomizing others
• The design features non-intrusive advertisements that appear on the right-hand column, all of which can be customized to appear in specific sections or pages
