Worlds of Fun Prowler

Sometimes a wooden coaster is just a wooden coaster. Other times though, it's a story. Worlds of Fun built up expectations to Prowler in summer 2008 with blog articles and in-park teasers. Set in the themed area of Africa, it was to whisk riders deep into the woods and back on an unforgettable journey. The website prepared visitors by immersing them in a design that evoked African elements and culture, achieved with an almost painterly-like look. A series of sharp claw prints, meanwhile, reminded them that the creature was waiting...

• The Flash video player used to display ride animations utilized custom masks to organically blend the footage with the stylized backgrounds
• Given the day's adequate browser support, transparent .PNG graphics were incorporated to wide extent, adding to the visual texture and richness
