Recall the last time you had to call a large company. Chances are you were greeted with an automated agent, thrown into a confusing maze of touch-tone ‘options’, and finally put through to someone who, if lucky, may have been able to answer your questions.
At wddonline, when the phone rings, we answer it. It’s just one of the many ways we strive to ensure total customer satisfaction — the kind that can only be provided by a small but dedicated team.
The best ways to describe the wddonline work culture? Focused. Driven. Adaptive. Given our size, every team member is constantly expanding his or her knowledge of the web industry and pushing the limits of tools available to meet our clients’ needs. This means when starting a new project, our project managers can offer comprehensive solutions based on their exhaustive experiences. If you can dream it, we can make it happen.
So who is this amazing dream team? We’re sports junkies, roller coaster aficionados, motorcycle enthusiasts, comic book fans, pet lovers, and so much more. Get to know us. We hope to get to know you.
Aaron Frase
"mr. Fix IT"
With a passion for IT, Aaron is the go to guy when something IT related isn't working.
Almost all of his work is behind the scenes keeping the servers running at top performance.
When he isn't playing video games he's keeping up with the latest tech and security news.
Adam Smith
"King of Organized Chaos"
Adam enjoys creating designs that invoke emotion and that don’t always follow the “rules”. He believes a great concept should drive every design and brings a unique (but not always organized) design approach to the team at wddonline. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Visual Communication Design with a minor in Web Design and Programming from Kent State University. Outside of work you will rarely see him without a sketchbook or camera in his hand.
Angela Taylor
"Bookkeeper 2.0.12"
Her love of roller coasters is what drew her to us. Her love of numbers is what will make her a vaulable part of the team. With years of experience with business bookkeeping and a familiarity with internet commerce and advertising, she will keep a sharp eye on your account and be able to help with any billing questions you might have.
Drake Williams
"Mobile Seneschal"
Underneath the clean lines and bright colors of mobile apps, a grueling assembly line runs to deliver information to you as fast as possible. Drake takes unusual pleasure in extracting efficiency from mobile devices, making them act like a portable supercomputer. The bleeding edge is never good enough to resist tweaking and pushing to get every hint of performance out of a system, whether it's a modern smartphone or a massive robot. No code is so quick that it couldn't be quicker, and Drake cracks the whip on every program.
Gail Becker
"Keeper of the Books"
Gail not only keeps our well oiled machine working smoothly with her bookkeeping ability, she is also our voice for Human Resources. With her background in office management and as a business owner, she brings practical knowledge for the team to draw on for advice on bookkeeping and human resource matters. She is also listed as a female entrepreneur in the Cambridge Who's Who Registry of Distinguished Individuals.
Kumi Sano
"Social Engineer"
With an Electrical Engineering Degree from Case Western Reserve University, Kumi wanted to use her degree and skills for the greater good. Not just a techie, she also has a passion for creating and designing, and tries to dabble in the arts as much as she can. From programming robotic arms, to selling cars and women’s retail, to designing jerseys, Kumi has the versatility needed for a Project Manager. She’s here to do just about anything, working towards a smooth and efficient operation, while staying in a fun and friendly environment. Out of the office, you’ll find her tearing up the field playing Ultimate Frisbee outdoors, or rampaging online playing videogames indoors.
Michael Cook
"Web Spinner"
When not reading comics Michael is designing fun and colorful websites. His eye catching designs are sought-after by all who see them. His aesthetic eye is only surpassed by sarcastic wit.
Katie R. Bruno
"Big Picture"
Katie knows a little about everything and a lot about a lot of things. She relishes research and if she doesn’t know the answer to a question, she knows how to find it. Katie keeps a feel on the pulse of the industry and is a popular speaker at national and international meetings. She leads in overall strategy for the company as well as helping customers develop a comprehensive vision for their web marketing. She currently serves as a member of the IAAPA FEC Committee, the Four Cities Educational Compact Media Advisory Committee and the Hearthstone Institutional Review Board. She is also a contributor to Bemusement, the attractions industry blog from Blooloop.
Mark F. Bruno
"Nuts and Bolts"
As co-owner and Director of Operations Mark is responsible for all human resources, accounting as well as web, database and email server systems design, implementation and maintenance. Mark is all about infrastructure. When it all works you can thank him, when it doesn’t well, the buck stops here.
Matt Daw
"Stage Director"
Matt is responsible for making everything work smoothly and consistently together. Whether it is how our clients’ customers work with their websites, how our clients’ administrate their sites, or how the differing pieces and parts of the servers work with each other, he’s in there. He’s the guy that puts out the fires and makes sure all of the fancy (and boring) stuff happens. Open to innovation but rooted in traditional IT practices, he is committed to providing reliable, friendly, and quality service for all of your unique IT needs.
Ed Weiland
"Admiral of Organized Aesthetics"
As Director of Design, Admiral Ed takes great pride in overseeing and ever-improving the aesthetic integrity of all wddonline web solutions. On the front line of design, Ed enjoys orchestrating tactics that embrace new technologies, decrease delivery time, increase impact and ultimately result in continued increases in customer satisfaction. Likewise, he enjoys getting his hands dirty in the trenches, working alongside fellow team members and claiming ownership of individual battles with his own design skills. As a father, the Admiral enjoys brainwashing his children with science fiction, progressive rock, patriotism, and Steelers football.
Scott Brown
"An Amusing Guy"
Scott’s background in operations, his love of Amusement Parks & Attractions and his passion for new technology make him a great resource to ensure that you have a strong presence on the web and that your online success strategies are being implemented and achieved. A great source of ideas and energy, Scott is able to blend his passions and skills to the benefit of our clients. Scott currently serves as a member of the IAAPA FEC Committee and the IAAPA Education Committee. Now if he could only find a way to incorporate Jimmy Buffett into his job – all would be right with the world.
Jeff Prystajko
"Hat Honcho"
From beanies and berets to caps and fedoras, Jeff wears a lot of hats… though more in the figurative sense, of course. The technical artist, he can switch gears from designing in photoshop one minute to programming ColdFusion the next. Animation and Interactivity? Not a problem. Social media? You bet. Always fascinated by the cutting edge in the Internet arena, Jeff is keen to adopt the best new ideas and integrate them into projects that make business and strategic sense.
Tony Mako
"Code Guru"
From monkeying around with new application ideas, to being the source of all knowledge concerning existing applications, Tony is the faithful crew behind the stage and in the rigging. He doesn’t just write code for a living – he lives to write code.
Nick Gill
"Tiny Superhero AKA 'Chippy'"
When we found out that Nick was moving on to new opportunities, we were at a loss as to how we would fill the gap left by his absence. We scoured the inter-webs for suitable substitutes, but could not find anyone or anything that could fill his shoes, until we came across an abandoned and homeless chipmunk. We adopted him and named him "Nick Jr." He can't really type that well (missing opposable thumbs) and his designs generally involve lots of nuts and grass, but he is just so darn cute, we can't bring ourselves to get rid of him.
*Update: Chippy has returned! He mysteriously vanished about 9 months ago without a trace. We led a futile nationwide search to find him, but gave up when we received a postcard from him saying he was "finding himself" somewhere in the South Pacific and would return when he was ready. That day has come. Welcome back.
James Kirk Buo
"Senior Master of Evil Design"
James used to be just pure evil design genius. My how things have changed. He has moved up the ranks, and now likes to be referred to as "Your Majesty, the Senior Evil Design Genius. He excels in clean and sometimes dark design, and brings a force-ful presence to the team. He is often times seen at his desk with smoke coming from his fingers and ears due to the awesome power he exudes. Most people are stunned by his ability to quickly adapt and learn new techniques, while others are blown away by his amazing good looks.
David Bartiromo
"SEO Sherpa"
With a foundation in the field of communications and a passion for all things Internet and Web related, David brings a unique perspective to his role as Search Engine Optimization Specialist. Keeping up with the ever changing world of Web marketing is a challenge that David enjoys and as the technologies have continued to evolve, David has broadened his scope to include everything from Email Marketing to Social Media.
