Geauga Lake Interactive Trip Planner
The Cedar Fair family of amusement parks was looking for an online application that would help their parks stand apart from the competition. They wanted something unique and highly valuable to the visitor.
The Interactive Trip Planner concept was built to allow visitors to completely plan their visit to the park. Each visitor's planner is individually created just for them based upon their specific desires and needs. It also uses calculations to make ticket recommendations that have more value for the visitor. Large amounts of detailed information can be delivered to each visitor based upon variables such as visitors' ages, disability needs, and directions from their home directly to the park.
Users are guided through a set of questions that change depending upon their responses to previous questions. The application is integrated with other online content databases for consistency across the website.
Information is easily updated by park employees as policies or information changes, giving the user the most up-to-date information.
The Interactive Trip Planner was the first and only application of its kind in the amusement park industry, giving the Cedar Fair family of amusement parks something special to offer their guests on their websites. Guests love the trip planner and user comments are overwhelmingly positive.
