Cedar Point Group Sales

Group Sales are a very important part of the overall revenue picture for Cedar Point Amusement Park. They needed an application that:

  • Makes it easy for new customers to place and pay for an order online any time that it's convenient to them, not just when the offices are open.
  • Service established customers by delivering event information, allowing for reorders and communication with their Group Sales representative.
  • Help Group Sales representatives at remote locations to service and communicate with customers.

An internal Group Sales system was already in place on the Cedar Point's AS400. WDD Online developed a system that makes it simple for the online user to find the proper group program and ticket pricing, order those tickets and obtain information about their order.

Once orders are placed online, they are downloaded to the internal system for processing and record keeping without re-entering any of the information.

Group Sales representatives can send information to specific clients, upload files and promotional materials, and provide event information to their clients online or in conjunction with phone conversations. All client interfaces are representative-specific, complete with their particular representative's photo and contact information. This has allowed Cedar Point's Group Sales program to retain a personal touch while leveraging the technology for greater productivity and profitability.
