Our continuing mission is to have the best site in the industry, and by "best," I mean the site that serves its users, our customers and potential customers, the best. WDD Online has always been a strong advocate for the people who actually use our site, always challenging us to make things easier, better, newer, more interesting, more fun, more informative for our users. If we are successful in this effort, it will pay off in visits to Cedar Point.

Cedar Point

The world's number one amusement park requires the world's number one amusement park website – period. Visually clean but elegant, the contemporary design appeals to all of Cedar Point's visitors.

The most challenging aspect of the site's design is the enormity of information available – over 300 pages and counting. The navigation scheme had to be detailed enough to encompass the majority of the site's pages, yet intuitive enough to make information easy to find. A menu with fly-out submenus was used to enable visitors to get from one page to any other on the site with minimal effort.

Within the site, one can find statistics on every ride and roller coaster in the park, complete with photos and videos for most of them. Three webcams update continuously throughout the day, providing viewers at home with a birds-eye perspective on what's happening at the park. And for the fun-loving and creative visitors, a variety of interactive games are available, in addition to a multitude of desktop wallpaper images and photo galleries.

Cedar Point's location on the shores of Lake Erie is unique, which only serves to make its towering skyline more dramatic when viewed from a distance. To fully capture that magic, the site's header is emblazoned by an animated Flash view of the park, complete with coasters and rides running continuously to viewers' enjoyment. And just like how the park takes on a different personality when the sun goes down, be sure to visit at night for an even greater spectacle.
