Castaway Bay
Cedar Point has always been a summer vacation spot for millions of visitors each year, and many guests enjoyed spending a hot, humid day in Soak City, the neighboring water park. Once the winter drew closer and the parks closed their gates for the season, those guests were left high and dry until the following summer. Castaway Bay changed all this.
An indoor waterpark, spa, shops, restaurants, and hotel all crammed into one resort, Castaway Bay was a new tropical experience that would delight visitors to Sandusky – even when the big draw, Cedar Point, wasn't open! To help spread the word about Castaway Bay , WDD created a visually stunning and vibrant website that lets visitors explore everything the resort has to offer.
The welcome page begins by luring visitors into the tropical theme, as palm trees resting upon a sandy oceanfront beach beckon them to continue. An interactive flash navigation menu (themed to a compass) gives visitors a sneak peek at what's in store.
Within the site, you'll find PDF maps and brochures; coupons; hotel room layouts; and of course, dozens of photos showcasing the resort.
Every page also has an easily-accessible area where one can book a reservation with just a few clicks. Whether it's blistering hot or abominably chilly outside, castawaybay.com is the best way to plan a great tropical vacation!
